health: 3 new health trends to try!

Just like fashion, health fads come and go. A few years ago acai was all the rage and now it's coconut water and goji berries! Here are some of the latest health trends that we are loving to keep you happy and healthy!

1. The coolest "grain" on the block: Quinoa, "KEEN-wah", is an amino acid-rich (protein) seed that has a fluffy, creamy, slightly crunchy texture and a somewhat nutty flavor when cooked. Most commonly considered a grain, quinoa is actually a pseudocereal, related to spinach and beets. This superfood works as an antioxidant, is chalk full of magnesium and can help with migraines and cardiovascular health. Here are some cool ways to eat Quinoa:

2. Going green tea: Matcha, "MAH-cha", is a centuries-old Japanese staple, matcha is whole-leaf green tea that’s been ground into fine powder and has insane health benefits. Studies found that the concentration of the antioxidants in matcha are 137 times greater than the amount in commercially available green teas. Matcha is also said to boost metabolism and help reduce cholesterol levels when drank regularly. 3. De-stress with the best:  Gah-bye, Stress Ball! Brit import MohDoh is a brightly colored, moldable aromatherapy dough made of natural cellulose (um, it's scented Play-Doh). As you squish, your skin absorbs the aromatherapy oils. Order here!

  1. I have not tried any of those. I am not the healthiest person. I'm not horrible but I could be better...like not eat ice cream every single night. Those stuffed peppers look good! I love stuffed peppers.
