fashion: summer olympics evokes sporty style

Summer Olympics are coming up and I saw a Wall Street Journal article highlighting the Olympic style over the years and was so intrigued! Sometimes I wish I could wear my gym outfit all day long! I think a lot of people appreciate a comfy sporty style as long as you don't look like a slobby couch potato. I went on a hunt to find pieces that can go from a walk, bike ride, or yoga to coffee, lunch or drinks which I think is the ideal situation. So is it possible to have an outfit that can go from gym to drinks?

 Here is some cool Olympic style from back in the day that is great inspiration:

{July 19, 1996 - Members of the Russian Federation delegation walked through the Olympic Stadium during the opening ceremony of the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, Ga. The Olympic rings served as the main inspiration for their colorful outfits}

I wanted to re-create a cool Olympic-inspired sporty outfit that could be comfy and cool for summer so here it is....

Love this look too...

Here are some more sporty pieces I am crushing. Checkout these "jean" leggings. One of my favorite gym class teachers wears these and they really can take you from working out to going out!

{Helmut Lang Wax Denim Leggings $195}

I also love this sporty chic jacket that could go from a bike ride to coffee easily!

 {Lululemon Run Nothin' to Hide Jacket $118}

I hope this evokes some awesome sporty styles to be incorporated into your summer wardrobe and gets you in the Summer Olympic spirit!
