style: football fantasy

I'm not really into that many sports, but I LOVE football. A while back, my girlfriends and I started a girls FF league to help us get through Sundays when our boyfriends were ignoring us and obsessing over their teams. If you can't beat them, join them! It has now been 5 years and our league is still going strong - and probably more competitive then the boys at this point, haha. If you've never played, I highly recommend it - I look forward to every Sunday (and Monday and Thursday games)! Below is my guide to surviving football season, with or without fantasy.

Bars: You don't have to be into the games to enjoy the action at the sports bars, especially if you're a single lady! Take advantage of the social scene - it's a great excuse to get friends together and to meet hot guys :) Just don't be the girl in the bar hating on football, know your surroundings. Here are my favorite spots in LA: Goal, The Parlor, South, Pink Taco on Sunset, Sharkeez

Dress to Impress: Repping your favorite team doesn't have to be ugly, you can still be cute at sporting events! I don't cater my style to fit a mold, style is who you are - and in my case, who I am is usually in heels (probably a wedge for the sports bars though). :) Here are some great options for adorable sports attire.

Sleepers: If you do end up joining a FF league - the number one piece of advice I can give you is to play the waiver! Don't sweat the draft, auto will probably pick better then you will as a newb. Some of the best players are sleepers picked up on waivers in week 3. For example, by the time this posts I hope to own Redskins running back, Alfred Morris - let's hope his week 1 performance is enough to keep him as a starter for Coach Shanahan.

Make your Sundays Fundays - jump on the bandwagon (stylishly of course) :) Happy football season!
