holiday: guide for a chic thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I know we are all itching to get into the spirit and get the work week over with and it is almost here! I thought I would put together a guide to have an ultra chic and enjoyable thanksgiving with some inspiration I have been drawn to recently. The most important thing with all of the distractions of loads of amazing food, hype around deals for Christmas shopping, and family/friends coming together, is to make sure to breathe, act with grace, and stay connected to yourself and what is truly important on Thanksgiving, which is the spirit of gratitude!

Here is my guide with 5 ways to a have a super amazing Thanksgiving:

My friend Jacq has an amazing blog Beverly Hills Farms with great recipes like this one which would be a perfect dish to take for Thanksgiving if you are a guest or if you are hosting, this is the perfect healthy side to serve!

2. Chic Table Setting: I love this table setting and the candles with cranberries below. Check out my Pinterest Board- Thanksgiving Table Settings for more ideas for crazy chic thanksgiving decor! There are so many simple ways to create a beautiful table setting so that the vibe of the room is light and peaceful- I think candles are a must to achieve this ambiance.

{I love the white with splashes of rose gold and silver painted pumpkins and gourdes}

{So easy and pretty to put cranberries around candles}

3. Chic Outfit: I like to be super comfy on Thanksgiving so I put together an outfit that is comfy and classy- a perfect type of outfit for the day of thanks! Some cords, scarf, boots, and you are good to go!

4. Chic Host/Hostess Gift: Everyone brings wine, which is always nice but here is what I am bringing to my parents house this year and another idea I thought was a perfect solution to the what to bring dilemma?

{Organic/Vegan Pumpkin Pie from Urth Cafe- make sure you call to reserve one for pick up because they sell out- this one is from our instagram @evokela yesterday when I picked one up for a work potlock}

{I thought this Herb Wreathe from Williams- Sonoma via Whole Living is such a unique and practical host/hostess gift to bring over}

5. Chic Drinks: As you all probably know by now, I am obsessed with tea, all kinds of tea! I found a recipe for a Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte that I thought would be great to serve with dessert or in the morning on Thanksgiving!

{Recipe HERE

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! It is always a good idea to drink a lot of water and go for a run or do a yoga class in the morning to help with your metabolism and digestion! Most cities have a Turkey Trot or some type of 5k or 10k you can do!
