wine riot: event recap and wine guide

{The musical piano stairs above the Hollywood & Highland Metro station}

The following weekend my wonderful boyfriend took me to Wine Riot in Downtown Los Angeles and it was so much fun! With over 250 different types of wine to try we thought it was best to walk to the Metro station by my house (yes LA has a Metro) and take it downtown. We had so much fun and we even took a class on wine tasting where I learned that my taste palette does not distinguish between cheap and expensive wines, lol. Afterwards we stopped at Bottega Louie for dinner before taking the Metro back home. Here is a recap of the event and some tips on choosing wines this holiday season!

{We attended the Cameron Hughes class - below are some cheap but delish wine recs}

{Sweater and Top: H&M, Skirt: Zara, Boots: Vera Wang}

{Some of the winery stations}

{Having a Jenga break - I won!}

{Sampling wines, I love red wine the most}

{Stocking up on macarons at Bottega Louie}

{Waiting for the Metro on the way home}

{Here are some great inexpensive wines for the holidays}

I found this guide with brief descriptions of each variety of wine so you know the difference between a merlot and a pinot! If you want to know which wines pair best with what food then checkout this wine guide. Pinot Noir goes great with Turkey!
